The Forest Street Improvement Company was formed in 1916 in order to acquire property on Hawthorne Street in Hartford, Connecticut, formerly owned by the Underwood Typewriter Company. Stockholders were local residents, including those who signed the Incorporation statement, G.W. Merrow, Francis Parsons, and George H. Day. The three owned the largest numbers of shares, 100 each (Day actually only owned 1 share, his wife, Katherine, owned 99). Includes the incorporation materials, by-laws, lists of stockholders, treasurers reports, meeting minutes, and dissolution papers.
